WATERMARKING RESEARCH
Welcome to the homepage of the watermarking group in the Signal Processing in Communications Group, which is part of the Signal Theory and Communications
Department of the University of Vigo. Our research is concerned with both theoretical
and practical aspects of digital watermarking and data hiding. The main working lines are the following:
- Theoretical performance assessment and quantitative measurements: BER, channel capacity, ...
- State-of-the-art channel coding to improve performance.
- Development of optimal watermarking extraction structures.
- Information-theoretic models of watermarking security.
- Zero-Knowledge protocols for watermark detection/decoding.
- Signal Processing in the Encrypted Domain.
- Robust watermarking for digital rights protection and persistent association between metadata and digital contents.
- Forensic marking technologies (fingerprinting) for content tracing.
- Forensic marking technologies (semi-fragile watermarking) for audio and video authentication.
